Expresso NIT Patna has got an esteemed opportunity to hold a mind-boggling talk show with Mr. Rakesh Kaul,
an IIT Delhi graduate, a business tycoon and the Chairman of the Indo-American Arts Council.
It was basically an introductory workshop for digital art. Everyone was taught about different softwares that are being used nowdays for digital arts and also about different brushes for digital art. Everyone also got a hands on experience of making a Cactus in AutoDesk Sketch Book. This Workshop was taken by our Senior Insha Nadeem Mam, who is well experienced in the field of digital art and designing. It was open for everyone who wanted to learn digital arts and do not know where to start from.
"You can speak well if your tounge can deliever the message of your heart". With this thought in mind, The Expresso conducted its very first event "TURNCOAT" for the year 2021. In this event, participants chose a formal and an informal topic from the bucket of given topics (virtual chits) and then had to speak on the former one until and unless asked to change to the latter. The objective of this event was to embibe confidence and interaction within students. This new refreshing event which was one of its type was widely welcomed and was a great booster for the newbies as well. They got a platform where they could test their skills such as instictive thinking, verbal presentation as well as language efficiency.
An online event organised every year in october to collect and showcase the arts of Expresso art club members on our social media handles. A prompt list is circulated in advance having different theme everyday and the artist have to make the arts according to the given theme. And for each theme, few of the best are displayed on aur social medias.
A watercolor painting workshop was organised for the Expresso Arts club members to teach them some new tips and tricks which they can apply in the future. The workshop was taken by seniors having prior experience in this field. This was an event organised so that everyone can apply whatever they have learnt and where everyone can learn with each other and grow their skills.
A session organised to explain and introduce about Model United Nation (MUN) to everyone who is new to this. Also a Mock MUN session was conducted to give real experience to the audiences.
A workshop organised to teach the basics of sketching and built up from there. One of the senior who is experienced in sketching took the workshop. This workshop was open for everyone who is interested in sketching or wants to learn the basics. No prequisites were required for this workshop and everyone was taught to make the sketch of an eye using pencil strokes.
A mock MUN session was arranged to introduce the basics of Parliamentary debate for everyone who is new to parliamentary debates. The basics of Parliamentary debates were introduced and then Two Mock Parliamentary debate sessions were held to give the overall view of the debate. It was properly judged by seniors having prior experience in this field with proper criticism and explaining each and every point to the audience.

After the establishment of the club, Open Mic was the first major event organised by Expresso NITP. Organised and hosted in the cafeteria of SAC building. It was open for any kind of performances. It again witnessed huge particaption and amazing performances from seniors to juniors and from story telling to shayaris. It was an event where everyone spoke their heart out. Some Final years students also shared the story of their amazing four year journey in NITP.
Expresso NITP organised its first ever auditions for selected their new members for the year 19 - 20. We saw a huge number of partcipation in this event in the very first year itself, more than 100 people came for the auditions in different genres, be it art, poetry, debates, speaking skills, writing skills, group discussions and shayari.
